Our Crossroads student interns arrive today. But this will be so much more than an internship for them. We have a full weekend of orientaion planned for them to get to know each other, learn how to function well as a team, and to connect well with the Lord.
Unfortunately, one of the girls, an international student, won’t be joining us. She didn’t have all the paperwork she needed to come back to the States. You can pray for her as she faces the reality of her summer that don’t match up to her expectations. Pray also that she would walk well with the Lord while at home.
You can also pray for me, Ryan, Chris and Rachel, the primary staff for the group. Pray we can lead them, love them, and help them in their journey with Christ.
Also pray for John. He is leaving on Wednesday to fly to Ocean City, New Jersey for 5 days. CCC’s largest summer project is there and John will meet with the staff leaders to discuss the project’s future to help sustain it financially. So many people go there for summer vacation and get to hear the gospel.
“When Jesus saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Matthew 9:36-38
