A day in the life

I thought you would enjoy a snapshot of our week. Yesterday and today our team spent hours brainstorming the theme to the Indianapolis Christmas Conference. Through the theme, they will then develop the media campaign to go out to college students throughout Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Illinois. This campaign is a big part of our summer and serves as a stepping stone to what God will do in students lives as a result of the conference. Every year, we hear of students who place thier faith in Christ for the first time; or who decide to follow Christ; or who share their faith for the first time, or who gain confidence in sharing their faith. I could go on and on. I praise God for how he has used the conference in the past. Pray for that to continue this year. Pray also students to connect to the media campaign and to attend in even greater numbers this year.

God is working

I am often amazed at the Lord’s work in other people’s lives. I pray for others and for God to be working, but sometimes it isn’t as apparent. This weekend though, I got to see God’s hand clearly. The Crossroads Summer Project students arrived on Friday and we spent the weekend getting to know them and hearing the story of God in their lives.

The best part for me was hearing how God brought them to Indianapolis for the summer. 2 of the students had applied for internships elsewhere including churches and Major League Baseball. Even though they were qualified, circumstances brought them to Indianapolis instead. God is at work in student’s lives. I am grateful I get to be a participant in what he is already doing.

Pray for the four students as they begin to use their skills. Today is the first day in the office and they will be here for 6 weeks.
