December update

It’s been awhile since our last post. We have settled into a routine the last few weeks of radiation and physical therapy. Since John can’t drive, (his right foot is regaining mobility), I drive him to therapy every morning. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays he does physical therapy then does radiation, and Tuesday and Friday he just does radiation. We have had friends from work volunteer to take him home every day which has freed me up to go into work and finish up my projects for Christmas Conference.

This last week, I have been working overtime to complete the Christmas Conference program, newsletter, nametags and t-shirts. I enjoy working on these things and thinking about how God is working in student’s lives through the Christmas Conference. So many students make big decisions during the conference: whether it is decisions to accept Christ, to stop sleeping with a boyfriend or girlfriend, to go on summer project or to become a full-time missionary. Sometimes the decisions are small, spend more time in prayer and in the Word, lead a Bible study back on campus, or share their faith with a roommate. More than 2000 students trusting the Lord with the decisions of their lives. Praise God for my small part in that.

John is doing well. When he walks, you can hardly tell that he has been through two surgeries this fall. He continues to work on his exercises at home and is improving every day. He is really enjoying the Christmas holiday festivities. Tonight we will go to our office Christmas party.

We feel especially blessed this Christmas. So many people have been praying for us and with us. So many have given their time, money and meals. We have been brought to tears by people’s generosity. Thank you.
