John slept for 7 straight hours last night!  We are both thankful for that.  The doctor says days 2, 3 & 4 are the worst.  So we are over that hump and hopefully things will just keep getting easier from there.  He spends a lot of his time resting, drinking water, and putting ice packs on his face.

I try to help him as much as I can. Meanwhile, I am also trying to get some work done –mainly getting ready for the summer project students coming in two weeks!

Thanks again for  your prayers. Things are easier knowing you are behind us!

Day 4

Yesterday was the most painful so far.  He had a difficult time sleeping last night.  And his face is swollen.  We did check in with the doctor yesterday, and he said things are looking good.  Next tuesday is our official follow-up appointment to have the sutures and stints in his nose removed.  Meanwhile, keep praying for healing, sleep and comfort.
